Brandberg crystals
from Brandberg in Namibia are the finest quartz
crystals in the world!
Found in soft earth near the surface, they are all
mined by hand without the use of heavy machinery or
explosives, and so as a result they are seldom
damaged and most are in perfect pristine condition.
Brandberg crystals
may be clear, purple (amethyst), dark (smoky quartz)
or a combination thereof. Some of the crystals
exhibit a unique feature known as "windowing" where
internal structures resemble stacked window frames
(this is often also called skeletal quartz).
Brandberg crystals
were formed very quickly in the presence of water,
so many crystals will have internal water bubbles (enhydro
crystals) and phantoms of amethyst or smoky quartz.
These magnificent
crystals are highly sought after by collectors the
world over as well as crystal healers, as they are
considered to be very powerful crystals.
